BBQ Shrimp

New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp is buttery and spicy. Saute'ed with Worchestershire sauce and lemons, it's a New Orleans bbq shrimp as unique as the city it comes from.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Shrimp fresh
  • 1 stick 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lemon sliced, plural
  • 4 garlic chopped, cloves
  • 2 tablespoons creole seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Line a shallow baking sheet or roasting pan (you may need two) with foil and put aside.
  2. Put the shrimp in a container that can be sealed. I used a large plastic Ziploc bag.
  3. Add butter and all remaining ingredients to a medium size saucepan, melting butter on low heat. Stir until all ingredients are blended. Pour over shrimp and chill for 2 hours, turning over every 30 minutes.
  4. In a preheated oven at 400 degrees F bake shrimp for 20 minutes. Turn shrimp once during baking.
