BEST Hummus
Description
This hummus recipe uses cooked and rinsed chickpeas combined with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. The ingredients are blended thoroughly to achieve a very smooth and creamy texture, with water added gradually as needed for blending and consistency. Fresh lemon juice adds brightness, while garlic provides savory depth. Tahini contributes a nutty richness to the dip.
After blending, the hummus is transferred to a serving dish and optionally garnished with paprika for color, red pepper flakes for mild heat, and parsley for freshness. It pairs well with warm pita or crisp vegetables, making it suitable as a snack or appetizer.
The recommended tahini brands offer smooth texture and balanced flavor to enhance the hummus. Keeping the consistency right with added water ensures a spreadable dip that is not too thick or grainy.
