Blood Orange Moscow Mule
Description
This variation of the Moscow Mule uses two types of peach-flavored vodka combined in a glass filled with ice cubes. Lime juice and diet ginger beer add tartness and carbonation, while freshly squeezed blood orange juice lends a distinctive citrus sweetness and a vibrant color. The drink is stirred gently to mix all ingredients without losing carbonation.
Garnished with slices of blood orange and sprigs of rosemary or mint, the cocktail offers both visual appeal and aromatic freshness. The use of peach vodkas and blood orange juice results in a citrus-forward drink with sweet undertones that differentiates it from the traditional Moscow Mule.
Because ginger beer is carbonated, this cocktail is best served immediately and not made far in advance. A non-alcoholic mocktail alternative can be made by omitting vodka and substituting ginger ale for ginger beer. Regular orange juice can be used instead of blood orange juice, creating an orange variation with similar flavor pairing.
Ingredients
- 1 oz vodka Deep Eddy's Peach flavor
- 1 oz vodka Ketel One Botanica Peach & Orange Blossom flavor
- 6 oz ginger beer diet
- ½ oz lime juice
- ½ oz blood orange juice
- 4-6 ice cubes
For garnish
- blood orange sliced
- rosemary fresh
- mint fresh
- lime wedge
Instructions
- Grab a cocktail glass and fill it with ice.
- Measure out 1 oz of each vodka and pour into the glass.
- Top with ginger beer & lime juice. Stir.
- Take a hand held juicer and put 1-2 slices of a blood orange into it. Juice ½ oz of blood orange and pour into the cocktail. If you purchased blood orange juice, just pour in ½ oz.

Notes
- Serve immediately after preparation to maintain ginger beer’s carbonation and freshness.
- To make a mocktail, omit vodka and use ginger ale instead of ginger beer.
- Regular orange juice may substitute for blood orange juice for a different citrus profile.
