Blue Kamikaze Drink {Lions Blue Kool-Aid}
Description
The Blue Kamikaze Drink blends spirits and mixers to achieve a sweet and tart flavor profile highlighted by blue raspberry Kool-Aid powder. Vodka and blue curaçao provide the alcoholic base, while lemonade and lemon-lime soda add citrus brightness and carbonation. When made as shots, the ingredients are shaken (sparing the soda) to dissolve the powdered mix then topped with soda for effervescence. For larger servings, the drink mix is dissolved in water with other ingredients combined in a pitcher and served over ice, making it convenient for parties.
The drink’s vibrant blue color and balanced flavor suit social occasions and tailgating. Its preparation allows for cooling with ample ice and stirring to maintain taste and chill. Optional lime wedges can add an extra citrus note for garnish.
Making the cocktail ahead and refrigerating preserves taste, while using lemonade or Sprite ice cubes can prevent dilution over time.

- Put additional ice cubes in each glass before pouring the Blue Kamikaze drink into glasses. Serve with a lime wedge if desired.
Notes
- The cocktail can be prepared 1-2 days in advance and stored refrigerated to develop flavor and maintain chill.
- Serving the drink on ice enhances the refreshing quality and prevents it from tasting stale.
- Using lemonade or Sprite frozen into ice cubes helps avoid watering down the cocktail as the ice melts.
