Buckwheat Meat Patties Recipe

Buckwheat Meat Patties combine ground chicken and beef with cooked buckwheat, blended sautéed vegetables, and eggs to form moist patties. These are browned on a skillet and finished in the oven, resulting in a firm yet tender texture. The addition of black pepper and paprika provides a modest spice, while buckwheat adds earthiness and nutty notes. This recipe is suitable when you want a hearty, protein-rich dish that pairs well with sides like salads or cooked vegetables.

Description

The Buckwheat Meat Patties Recipe blends the nuttiness of buckwheat with the richness of both ground chicken and beef. After boiling buckwheat, it’s mixed with eggs and a puree of softened onion and shredded carrot, which adds moisture and subtle sweetness. The spices include black pepper and paprika for a gentle warmth. The patties are pan-fried to develop a browned crust and then baked to finish cooking through, producing a balanced texture that is firm but not dry.

Buckwheat contributes a distinctive flavor and tender bite uncommon in usual meat patty recipes, making these patties unique. They can be served as a main course with simple sides such as steamed greens or roasted vegetables, fitting a home-cooked meal with a bit of extra nutritional value from the whole grain component.

Because the recipe includes baking after pan-frying, the patties retain juiciness while ensuring they cook evenly. There are no notes provided, but baking after browning is a reliable way to finish thicker patties without burning the exterior.
