Carrot Juice Recipe (Juicing in Blender & Juicer)
Description
Carrot Juice Recipe (Juicing in Blender & Juicer) shows how to prepare fresh carrot juice either by blending or juicing. The recipe uses 250 grams of peeled carrot and optional celery stems, which are rinsed and chopped. In the blender method, small amounts of water are added to produce a smooth puree which is then pressed through a fine mesh sieve to extract the juice. Alternatively, the juicer method involves feeding carrot cubes and celery into a juicer directly. The juice is fresh and light, capturing the natural sweetness and earthy flavor of carrots.
The flavor is naturally sweet from carrots, with a subtle vegetal note from celery if used. The blender method yields a juice with some pulp filtered out by straining, resulting in a clean but slightly textured drink. The juice suits consumption immediately after preparation to preserve freshness and flavor.
This juice can be enjoyed as a refreshing beverage or used as a base for other mixed vegetable or fruit juices. It is a hydrating and nutritious way to include more vegetables in the diet.
Use tender, fresh carrots for the best juice yield and flavor. Fibrous or rough carrots may be harder to blend and yield less juice. To maintain the juice's fresh taste and nutrient content, serve it immediately after making and avoid prolonged storage.
Ingredients
- 250 grams carrot
- 1 celery optional, stem
- ¼ to ½ cup water - if using a blender
Instructions
Prep Carrots
- Rinse the carrots very well in water. Dry them with a clean kitchen towel or allow them to drain naturally, and peel them.
- Rinse the celery stem and dry it naturally or with a clean kitchen towel.
- Chop carrots in small cubes. Chop the celery roughly.
Blender Method
- Add both the carrots and celery to the blender. Add ¼ to ½ cup of water, or as needed. Take care not to add too much water as this will thin the juice. Only add water as required to help the carrot to pulverize in the blender.
- Blend to a smooth and fine puree like consistency, making sure there are no visible small chunks of carrots in the mixture.
- Place a bowl below a fine mesh strainer. Pour the blended carrot mixture onto the strainer to strain the juice.
- With a spoon, press the fiber pulp all over to extract as much juice as possible. Serve the carrot juice that has collected in the bowl immediately.
Juicer Method
- Add the carrot cubes and chopped celery in the feeder tube of your juice and extract the juice.
- Serve the carrot juice immediately.
Notes
- Use fresh, tender carrots for better juice extraction and smoother blending.
- Peel the carrots well to remove any bitterness and dirt before juicing.
- Serve the carrot juice immediately after preparation to enjoy optimal freshness and flavor.
