Instructions
- Fill your treat bags about 3/4 of the way with an orange colored snack.
- Fold a bunch of Easter grass (about 10-12 strands) in half and slip the curved end inside the treat bag so it is just touching the top of the snacks.
- Cinch the bag so that you gather it up about 1/2 inch on top of the grass. Use a twist tie to secure the bag, tightly.
- Finish with by tying a bow of green ribbon around the twist tie, to cover it up.
Notes
- Prep Tips:
- Orange Snack Ideas - We tried cheddar popcorn, cheese puffs, cheez-its, goldfish crackers, and Reese's Pieces. You could even use a custom mix of snacks!
- Filling the Treat Bags - You don't want to fill the treat bags all the way to the top or you won't be able to close them. For the snack bags linked in the supply list (10 inch x 5 inch) about 2/3 cup of snacks was just the right amount to have enough space for a cute carrot top. If you use a different size of bag, you may need more or less than 2/3 cup snacks.
- Storage - These treat bags will stay good at room temperature for up to 5 days, so you can make them ahead of time. Any longer than that and the snacks inside might start to get a bit stale or lose their crunch.
