Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan
- 2 ½ cups ricotta
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 3 ½ cups marinara sauce (or your favorite pasta sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Cook your lasagna noodles, drain them, and pat them dry. Lay them out on a kitchen towel to prevent them from sticking to each other.
- In a large bowl, stir together 2 ½ cups of mozzarella, ⅔ cup of parmesan, and all of the ricotta.
- Use a spoon or spatula to spread the filling out over each of the lasagna noodles. Roll each lasagna noodle like you would a cinnamon roll.
- Cover the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish in a thin layer of marinara sauce.
- Add each of the lasagna roll-ups and cover with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle the top of the dish with the remaining cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with tin foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven, take off the tin foil, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Italian seasoning can be made by combining equal parts parsley, oregano, and basil. You can also add
- If you want to add some protein to this dish, you can add a pound of cooked sausage or beef. Simply sprinkle it over the cheese before rolling up your lasagna!
- Italian seasoning can be made by combining equal parts parsley, oregano, and basil. You can also add garlic and onion powder.
- I like the flavor of fresh parmesan much more than prepackaged stuff, but both work great. Prepackaged cheese will melt differently just because it is so finely grated.
- Make sure you lay out the lasagna noodles after they finish cooking. Otherwise, they will stick together and tear when you try to separate them. (I learned this the hard way!)
