Chicken and Dumpling Casserole

Chicken and Dumpling Casserole takes the same great flavor of the classic dish and puts a casserole twist on it! Comfort food at its finest!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 lb chicken *boneless, cooked/shredded
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tick butter
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese *shredded

Instructions

  1. Melt the stick of butter onto the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  2. Spread shredded chicken on top of butter.
  3. Sprinkle sage, pepper, salt, and garlic evenly over chicken.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the Bisquick and milk.
  5. Pour mixture evenly over chicken.
  6. In a separate small bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth.
  7. Pour mixture on top of Bisquick layer. *Be sure not to mix the layers, just pour and move to next step
  8. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Place pan in preheated oven, 350, for about 55-65 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
  10. Remove from oven and enjoy!!!
