Chocolate Chip Blondies

Chocolate Chip Blondies are a dense, chewy baked treat combining a buttery brown sugar base with semi-sweet chocolate chips. The batter includes all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. The blondies bake in a 9x9 pan until a toothpick comes out clean, yielding a rich, sweet bar with melty chocolate pockets and an optional finish of flakey sea salt for contrast.

Description

The Chocolate Chip Blondies recipe blends all-purpose flour, baking powder, and kosher salt with a melted butter and brown sugar mixture, adding eggs and vanilla extract for richness and moisture. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are folded into the batter, giving bursts of chocolate throughout. The batter is spread in a prepared 9x9 pan and baked at 350°F for 35 to 38 minutes, until set in the center. Cooling fully before cutting ensures clean squares.

The finished blondies have a chewy texture with pockets of melted chocolate chips, a balance of sweetness from brown sugar, and a buttery flavor. Optionally sprinkling flakey sea salt on top just after baking creates a contrast that enhances the sweet notes.

These blondies are suitable for dessert or a snack and can be served plain or with ice cream. They store well at room temperature when covered and also freeze well for longer storage.
