Chocolate Fondue

Simple, decadent, and a total crowd pleaser. This is one of my most made dinner party desserts - for sharing OR making little individual pots. I prepare it ahead then reheat in the microwave just before serving.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 10 oz semi-sweet chocolate broken or chopped into small pieces, Ghirardelli brand
  • ¾ cup milk full fat (or half and half, or 1/2 cup heavy cream + 1/4 cup milk)
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence

Dipping

  • strawberries
  • cake your choice, cut into bite-size cubes
  • marshmallows
  • cookies

Instructions

  1. Place chocolate, milk and vanilla in a heat-proof bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second bursts, stirring in between, or until chocolate is melted and smooth.
  2. Serve warm, with dipping things of choice! My favorites that I usually serve this with at dinner parties is vanilla cake and strawberries, as pictured.

Notes

  • This can be made with any melting chocolate but the better chocolate, the better the fondue! Lindt is also a great one to use.
