Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Cups
Description
This recipe assembles peanut butter, honey, and salt melted together and mixed into crunchy Rice Krispies cereal, which is then pressed firmly into lined muffin cups. After packing the mixture, melted chocolate chips are spooned on top as a finishing touch. The cups chill in the refrigerator until the chocolate firms and the peanut butter mixture sets, producing a sweet, crispy, and creamy treat.
The texture highlights the crunch of the cereal coated in the smooth, sticky peanut butter-honey blend. The touch of salt balances the sweetness, while the semi-sweet chocolate topping adds a slightly bittersweet contrast. Preparing these cups in muffin liners helps with easy removal and portion control.
These Crispy Peanut Butter Cups suit casual snacking, lunchbox treats, or easy homemade gifts. They require minimal cooking and no baking, making them a straightforward recipe for any skill level. Stored chilled, they keep their texture and flavor well for several days.
