Cinnamon Sugar Breakfast Muffins

Cinnamon Sugar Breakfast Muffins are tender, lightly spiced muffins topped with a crunchy cinnamon and sugar coating. The batter combines flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, milk, vegetable oil, and eggs for a moist crumb. The sugar and cinnamon topping adds a sweet, slightly crisp layer on each muffin, delivering a pleasant contrast in texture and flavor in every bite.

Description

This muffin recipe produces about sixteen individual muffins flavored with ground cinnamon both in the batter and sprinkled on top mixed with sugar. The mixture of baking powder and salt in the dry ingredients ensures a good rise. Milk, oil, and eggs combine as wet ingredients to keep the muffins moist and tender.

The cinnamon-sugar topping is applied just before baking, creating a fine, sweet crust as it melts and caramelizes slightly in the oven. Baking at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about thirteen minutes yields muffins that are cooked through yet remain soft inside. Muffins are allowed to rest briefly in the pan before removal, helping them hold their shape.

These muffins are suitable for breakfast or a snack and offer a mild cinnamon-spiced sweetness without being overly rich or heavy.
