Copycat Starbucks Matcha Espresso Fusion Recipe

The Copycat Starbucks Matcha Espresso Fusion mixes earthy matcha tea with bold espresso for a layered iced drink that blends flavors and textures. Matcha powder is whisked with warm water, then combined with ice and milk. Shots of espresso are added on top, creating a striking fusion of creamy green tea and strong coffee. Optional vanilla syrup sweetens the beverage. The drink features multiple layers of color and contrasting bitter and creamy notes for a balanced flavor experience.

Description

This recipe recreates the Starbucks Matcha Espresso Fusion by combining vibrant green matcha tea with rich espresso for a refreshing iced drink. The matcha powder dissolves in warm water to form a bright green base. Returning this mixture to a cup filled with ice, cold milk is poured over for creaminess. Then freshly brewed espresso shots are carefully poured on top along with additional ice, creating a layered look and flavor progression. Optional vanilla bean syrup or other sweeteners can be used to balance bitterness. The drink provides a unique balance between the grassy, slightly grassy matcha flavor and the intense coffee notes of the espresso. It is served cold over ice with both tea and coffee components clearly distinguishable yet harmonious.
