My favourite cranberry sauce comes together in just a few minutes and can be made up to a week in advance.

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole cranberries fresh or frozen
- 3/4 cup raw cane sugar
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1/2 tick cinnamon or whole star anise
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium, heavy bottomed pot and bring to a simmer. Cook gently for about twenty minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove star anise or cinnamon stick and transfer the sauce to a bowl to cool. Serve or store in a jar for up to one week.
