Cranberry Pecan Goat Cheese Ball

This Cranberry Pecan Goat Cheese Ball blends creamy cream cheese and goat cheese with bursts of tart dried cranberries and crunch from toasted pecans. The Worcestershire sauce adds subtle depth, while green onions lend a fresh sharpness. Rolled in more cranberries, pecans, and green onions, the cheese ball offers a balanced texture that's rich yet approachable, making it a practical appetizer to serve with crackers at gatherings or for casual snacking.

Description

The Cranberry Pecan Goat Cheese Ball combines cream cheese and soft goat cheese to create a creamy, tangy base. Chopped dried cranberries and pecans mixed into the cheese add chewy fruitiness and crunchy texture. A splash of Worcestershire sauce enriches the flavor with subtle umami notes, while sliced green onions contribute a crisp, savory contrast. After chilling to firm up, the ball is coated with remaining cranberries, pecans, and green onions for an appealing outer texture. This no-bake preparation is assembled with plastic wrap for easy shaping and refrigeration. The final cheese ball pairs well with crackers for a textural balance and flavor contrast that suits casual entertaining or a snack tray.

Servings
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 8 ounces goat cheese softened
  • 1 cup dried cranberries chopped, divided use
  • 1 cup pecan divided use, chips
  • ¼ cup green onion divided use, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the cream cheese and goat cheese. Mix until well combined. Add half of the cranberries, half of the pecans, and half of the green onions, along with all of the Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.

  3. Before serving, place the remaining cranberries, pecans, and green onions in a shallow bowl. Unwrap the cheese ball and gently roll it in the mixture to cover.
  4. Serve with crackers.
