Creamy Espresso Martini with Baileys

The Creamy Espresso Martini with Baileys is a cocktail cocktail blending vodka, coffee liqueur, Baileys Irish cream, and a shot of espresso. Shaking the ingredients vigorously creates a frothy, creamy texture with rich coffee flavor balanced by the whiskey cream. This cocktail suits those seeking a smooth coffee-flavored drink with a touch of sweetness and creaminess.

Description

This espresso martini variant combines vodka and coffee liqueur as the base, enhanced with Baileys Irish cream for a creamy texture and sweet dairy flavor. The addition of a hot, freshly brewed espresso shot adds robust coffee notes and warmth. Optional chocolate bitters can deepen the flavor complexity slightly.

The method involves two shaking stages: first chilling the ingredients with ice, then shaking again without ice to aerate the mixture and produce a characteristic frothy top layer. The cocktail is strained into a chilled glass and traditionally garnished with three coffee beans for aroma and presentation.

Serving immediately is recommended to enjoy the frothy texture and rich flavors before the foam settles. The cocktail offers a balanced combination of sweetness, creaminess, and coffee bitterness suitable for after-dinner drinks or special occasions.

Variations in the espresso coffee used (fresh brewed, shop-bought, cold brew, or instant) can affect the flavor; however, fresh espresso is preferred. Vigorous shaking is important for the froth.
