Crispy Air Fryer Potato Wedges
Description
Crispy Air Fryer Potato Wedges feature russet potatoes cut into wedges and seasoned with a blend of paprika, onion powder, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Tossed in olive oil to promote browning and crispness, the wedges are cooked in an air fryer at 400°F, resulting in a golden crust while keeping the inside soft and tender. Alternatively, they can be oven baked on a cooling rack for 20 to 25 minutes to achieve similar texture. The spices provide a mildly smoky and savory profile complemented by the nutty Parmesan, and optional garnishes of parsley and extra cheese lend freshness and depth.
The preparation starts with washing and cutting the potatoes into uniform wedges for even cooking. The wedges are coated evenly with oil and the spice-cheese mixture to ensure consistent flavor. Cooking times can be adjusted based on the donor’s air fryer model or desired crispness, with a quick check for tenderness recommended before serving.
These wedges can serve as a side for a variety of dishes or as a snack, especially with the addition of garnishes like extra Parmesan, parsley, and sea salt to enhance flavor and texture. They are best enjoyed immediately after cooking to maintain crispness.
