  • 8 lices Bacon thick cut
  • 1 onion chopped, large
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 10 oz. diced tomatoes drained, with chilies, canned

Instructions

  1. cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until slightly crispy
  2. remove and allow to drain on a paper towel
  3. chop when cooled to the touch
  4. drain the bacon grease and leave 1 tbsp in the skillet
  5. add the onion to the pan and season with salt, pepper, and brown sugar, cook for 1 to 2 minutes
  6. stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 min
  7. mix the cream cheese and sour cream together in the insert of the slow cooker
  8. add in the mozzarella cheese, onions, bacon and diced tomatoes
  9. heat on high 1-2 hours or until warm and cheese has melted.
  10. serve with chips or crackers (or dig in with a spoon)
