  • 1 cup whole wheat flour can use all-purpose
  • ¼ cup peanut butter make sure it does not contain xylitol

Instructions

  2. Blitz: Add all ingredients to a food processor and blitz until a dough forms.
  3. Shape: Shape dough onto the parchment-lined baking sheet into a rectangle. It should be about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
  4. Bake: Bake for 30 minutes or until crispy and dry.

Notes

  • Store treats in an airtight container. I like to keep them in the freezer so they stay good indefinitely!
  • Can I use frozen blueberries instead of fresh ones? Yes, frozen blueberries can be used as a substitute for fresh ones in this recipe. Just make sure to thaw them and remove any excess moisture before incorporating them into the dough.
  • Can I replace whole wheat flour with a gluten-free alternative? Absolutely! If your dog has a gluten sensitivity or you prefer a gluten-free option, you can use a gluten-free flour blend instead of whole wheat flour. Adjust the quantity as needed based on the flour's instructions.
  • Can I substitute peanut butter with another nut butter? Yes, you can use other dog-safe nut butters such as almond butter or cashew butter as a substitute for peanut butter. Just ensure that they do not contain any harmful additives or xylitol.
  • My dog has food allergies. Can I modify this recipe? Certainly! This recipe can be modified to accommodate various dietary restrictions or allergies. Consult with your veterinarian or a canine nutritionist to find suitable ingredient substitutions based on your dog's specific needs.
  • Are these treats suitable for all dog breeds and ages? These treats are generally suitable for most dog breeds and ages. However, it's always advisable to consider your dog's individual dietary requirements and consult with your veterinarian before introducing any new treats or ingredients into their diet.
