Delicious, Rich and Simple Chocolate Pots

These chocolate pots are the perfect way to end a meal. Sweet, but not sickly, they are a rich and decadent dessert that is prepared in advance. That makes them perfect for entertaining! Plus they are so simple to make.

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoon amaretto (see notes for alternatives)
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions
- Pour the heavy cream into a small saucepan and place over a medium heat. Heat the cream until it is almost boiling, but don't let it boil.1 cup / 240 ml heavy cream
- Remove the cream from the heat and set aside for 1 minute to cool slightly.
- Whilst the cream is cooling add the brown sugar to the amaretto and stir to dissolve.2 tbsp amaretto2 tbsp brown sugar
- Add in the chocolate chips to the hot cream and stir until they have melted.1 cup / 175 g semisweet chocolate chips
- Add the amaretto mixture to the chocolate, along with the egg yolks.2 egg yolks
- Mix well together and then lastly stir in the butter.2 tbsp butter
- Pour the mixture into small pots and chill for 4 hours or until needed.
Notes
- Instead of amaretto, you could use dark rum or an orange liquor.To remove the alcohol use extra cream instead.
