Detoxifying Beet & Berry Smoothie
Description
The Detoxifying Beet & Berry Smoothie combines peeled, raw beet with frozen strawberries and optionally frozen banana slices for natural sweetness and creamy texture. Apple juice serves as the liquid base, facilitating smooth blending and adding fresh fruit flavor. The mixture is blended on high until creamy and consistent, scraping down the sides to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
Garnishes such as fresh mint or shredded coconut add visual appeal and a hint of additional flavor. The smoothie’s flavor can be adjusted after blending by adding more banana for sweetness or more apple juice for a thinner consistency. It should be enjoyed fresh but will keep refrigerated for up to two days. Leftovers can also be frozen in trays or molds for convenient servings later.
Adding a scoop of plain or vanilla protein powder can increase the smoothie’s nutritional value, making it suitable as a light meal supplement. Nutrition information assumes use of banana and no optional garnishes.
