Ingredients

The Original Great Island Spice Mix

  • equal parts:
  • peppercorn red and black
  • thyme
  • rosemary
  • fennel seed whole
  • coriander seed whole
  • sea salt coarse

The Spicy Version

  • equal parts:
  • peppercorn red and black
  • salt sea salt
  • mustard seed brown
  • red pepper flakes
  • cumin seed
  • coriander seed
  • celery seed
  • fennel seed

Instructions

  1. Mix the spices together in a small bowl and spoon into your clean grinder.
  2. Reassemble the grinder.
  3. Grind over olive oil to use as a dip for bread, or use as a seasoning spice in eggs, vegetables, just about anything!
  4. Note that pink, or red, peppercorns are associated with nut allergies. If that is a concern, leave them out and substitute green or white peppercorns.
