DIY Spider Spray
Description
The DIY Spider Spray recipe uses peppermint essential oil mixed with water to make a natural and fragrant spider deterrent. Peppermint oil is known to repel spiders, which find its scent unpleasant, as their taste receptors are located on their feet. The spray is prepared by adding 15-20 drops of peppermint oil into a 16 oz spray bottle filled with water, then shaken well. It should be applied weekly to exterior and interior entry points such as doors, windows, and building foundations to create a barrier against spiders. Using a glass spray bottle is recommended to avoid oil interaction with plastic containers. The spray not only helps in pest control but also leaves a pleasant peppermint scent in the home.
Ingredients
- 15-20 Peppermint Essential Oil drops
- water to fill 16 oz spray bottle
- 16 oz Spray bottle
Instructions
- Fill spray bottle of choice with water and add the peppermint essential oil. Give it a good shake and wahlah! You have the easiest, most effective natural spider spray around. Spray around exterior and interior doors windows, and foundations weekly to keep pests out. Take a deep breath and revel in how awesome your home smells. Shake before each use to re-mix the oil and water.
Notes
