Easy 5-min. Strawberry Milk
Description
This drink is made by mashing fresh strawberries with sugar until partially puréed to release their flavor and sweetness. If a muddler isn’t available, blending or finely chopping can achieve similar results. Adding cold milk to the strawberry purée mixes the flavors and smooths the texture, producing a creamy, naturally sweet drink. Including ice cubes is optional and adds chill without watering down the taste significantly. The drink offers a fresh take on strawberry-flavored milk, using whole fruit for a more natural experience. It is quick to prepare and can be adjusted by choosing different types of milk such as plain oat milk for a dairy-free version.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup milk or plain oat milk for a dairy-free option
- 4 medium strawberries with stems removed
- 2.5 tablespoon granulated sugar or maple syrup or cane sugar, white
- 6 ice cubes optional
Instructions
- In a tall glass, add chopped strawberries and white granulated sugar and crush them with a muddler until they’re puréed. If you don't have a muddler, blend the strawberries and sugar in a blender or food processor or finely chop the berries with a knife and transfer to the drinking glass.
- Optional: add ice cubes on top of the strawberry purée if you want it colder.
- Pour cold milk over the puréed strawberry mixture and ice and mix to enjoy!
