Easy Beet Hummus
Description
This Easy Beet Hummus recipe combines cooked, peeled, and cubed beetroot with chickpeas, minced garlic, and light tahini paste for a creamy base. Extra virgin olive oil is added to achieve the desired smooth texture, while lemon juice adjusts the acidity to brighten the flavors. A pinch of cayenne pepper adds a gentle warmth without overwhelming the dish. Blending all ingredients in a food processor creates a uniform, vibrant paste.
The resulting hummus showcases a balance between the sweetness and earthiness of beets and the classic savory elements of garlic and tahini. Its smooth texture is ideal for dipping or spreading, and the colorful presentation adds appeal to any appetizer or snack platter.
This hummus works well served with crunchy vegetables or crackers, making it a versatile option for snacks, parties, or light meals. Adjusting the lemon and oil quantities allows personal preference in flavor intensity and consistency.
