Easy Bread Machine Dinner Rolls

Easy Bread Machine Dinner Rolls are soft, buttery rolls made by mixing ingredients in a bread machine's dough cycle, then shaped and baked. The dough includes warm water, milk, melted butter, sugar, egg, flour, salt, and yeast, producing a tender crumb and lightly golden crust. After rising, the dough is divided into rolls, allowed to rise again, brushed with butter, and baked. These dinner rolls serve well as a simple side or sandwich buns.

Description

This recipe uses a bread machine to mix and knead dough made from water, milk, melted butter, sugar, egg, flour, salt, and yeast. The machine's dough cycle handles the initial rising and development of the dough. Afterward, the dough is reshaped on a floured surface and divided into either 12 larger rolls for hamburger buns or 20 smaller dinner rolls. Each roll is rolled a few times for smoothness and placed seam side down into a greased baking pan. The rolls are brushed lightly with melted butter and left to rise for 45 minutes. Baking occurs at 375°F for 16-18 minutes until golden. A final brushing of butter after baking adds shine and flavor.

The rolls come out tender with a soft crumb and buttery flavor from the ingredients and finishing butter. They are versatile as dinner rolls or buns, suitable for meals or sandwiches.

The process simplifies homemade roll making by using the bread machine for mixing and kneading, while traditional rising and baking steps complete the rolls.
