Ingredients

Servings
  • 16 oz white chocolate chips 1 ½ bags (12 oz) of white chocolate chips
  • 1.5 Cups mini pretzels
  • ½ Cup dried cherries chopped if too large
  • Cup shelled pistachios
  • ¾ Cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper completely.
  2. In a medium microwave safe bowl, heat the white chocolate chips for 2 minutes and then in 1 minute intervals until completely melted and smooth. Stir well.
  3. Immediately pour the white chocolate onto the baking sheet and use a rubber spatula to spread it out thinly.
  4. Immediately place the mini pretzels into the chocolate and press down so that they stick well. Sprinkle the cherries and pistachios around the chocolate as well.
  5. Heat the dark chocolate chips in the microwave in a medium size bowl for 2 minutes and stir well, heat in 1 minute increments until well melted. Drizzle over the top of the white chocolate sheet. Allow to cool completely (you might need to put it in the fridge to cool). Break apart into bite sized pieces.

Notes

  • Whole dried cherries can be a little large, try chopping them up into pieces if they appear too large.
  • It's always easiest to melt chocolate in the microwave, however, if you don't have a microwave, melt the chocolates in a double boiler. Be very careful not to splash water into the chocolate or it will seize.
  • Its very important to use good quality white chocolate for this recipe because that is the main taste. I recommend the ghiradelli brand chips.
  • Use a large serving spoon to drizzle the dark chocolate or pour it carefully over the top.
  • Press the cherries, pistachios and pretzels into the white chocolate so that they stick down good.
  • Use the more salty brands of pretzels as this adds a lot of flavor to the dish.
