Easy Creamy Mushrooms

Easy Creamy Mushrooms are cremini mushrooms sautéed in butter with garlic, then simmered in a lightly spiced cream sauce seasoned with thyme and oregano. The addition of grated Parmesan cheese enriches the sauce, while fresh parsley adds a bright herbal finish. This dish yields tender, flavorful mushrooms with a smooth, velvety cream coating, ideal as a side or topping.

Description

The recipe starts by melting unsalted butter in a skillet and cooking thinly sliced cremini mushrooms until they are tender and browned, enhancing their earthy flavor. Minced garlic is added for aromatic pungency.

Next, heavy cream combined with dried thyme and oregano is introduced, then the mixture is simmered to thicken slightly, forming a rich sauce that clings to the mushrooms. Salt and freshly ground black pepper adjust the seasoning.

Finishing with freshly grated Parmesan cheese adds a savory depth and slight sharpness, while chopped fresh parsley sprinkled on top offers a touch of color and brightness. The result is a creamy, herb-infused mushroom dish with a tender texture and balanced flavors.

Serve immediately to enjoy the mushrooms at their creamy best, either as a side dish or a flavorful topping for meats or toast.
