Easy Hot Chocolate Spoons
Description
This recipe melts a substantial amount of milk chocolate, poured into lightly greased small yogurt pots to form solid spoons after chilling. Wooden spoons are placed in the chocolate before refrigerating, which hardens into a convenient shape for preparing hot chocolate.
Toppings like mini marshmallows, milk chocolate chips, and colorful sprinkles add sweetness and bursts of texture that melt or soften into the drink. When stirred into hot milk, these spoons dissolve, producing a creamy, sweet hot chocolate with added visual and flavor interest from the toppings.
This preparation allows creating multiple portions at once, ideal for gifting or easy single servings. The spoons maintain their shape when refrigerated and release cleanly from greased molds, ensuring easy use.
Lightly oiling the yogurt pots before pouring the melted chocolate prevents sticking, facilitating removal. Presented individually, these spoons offer a hands-on way to enjoy hot chocolate with customizable toppings.
