Ingredients
Basic Dough
- 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
- 1 envelope Rapid Rise Yeast
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup very warm water (between 120 and 130 degrees)
Breadstick Toppings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese grated
Instructions
Basic Dough
- Combine 2 cups of flour, yeast, and salt together in a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment.
- Mix in water. Add remaining flour and mix until dough pulls from the edge of the bowl.
- Turn dough onto a lightly flour surface, and knead for 4-5 minutes until a smooth, elastic dough is formed.
- Cover dough and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll or pull out dough to your desired size and shape.
- Grease a baking sheet or pizza pan with olive oil. Place dough on pan to cook.
Breadstick Toppings
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Brush olive oil all over the top of the dough
- Sprinkle rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and salt evenly over the dough.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Sprinkle dough with Parmesan cheese and return to the oven.
- Continue to check the dough every 5 minutes. Cooking time may take anywhere from 15-25 minutes in total. Once the dough is golden brown around the edges, remove the pan from the oven.
- Transfer cooked dough to a cutting board and cut into 10 breadsticks. Serve with marinara for dipping.
