Feta Stuffed, Fried Zucchini Blossoms

These Feta Stuffed, Fried Zucchini Blossoms are delicate zucchini flowers filled with a creamy mixture of feta cheese, Greek yogurt, egg yolk, and fresh mint. The blossoms are coated in an egg white wash and dusted with flour before frying, creating a thin crisp exterior that contrasts with the soft and savory filling. They make a light appetizer that highlights fresh garden flavors.

Description

The recipe begins by carefully washing zucchini blossoms and removing their stems. The filling combines tangy feta, creamy Greek yogurt, the richness of egg yolk, and freshly chopped mint for herbal brightness. Each blossom is gently stuffed and twisted closed to secure the filling.

An egg white wash thinned with water is prepared for coating, along with flour for dredging. The filled blossoms are dipped first into the egg wash and then coated evenly with flour to promote crisp frying.

They are cooked in medium-high heated oil in batches, frying about two minutes per side until lightly golden and crisp. After frying, the blossoms are drained on paper towels to remove excess oil before serving. The resulting dish balances creamy, salty filling with a crispy shell and fresh mint aroma.
