Garlic and Parmesan Roasted Asparagus

This recipe seasons trimmed asparagus spears with olive oil, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan before roasting them until tender at a high temperature. The garlic adds fragrant pungency while the Parmesan contributes a savory, slightly nutty flavor that crisps lightly in the oven. The spears cook coated evenly to develop a tender, slightly caramelized texture. This straightforward preparation is ideal for a side dish that complements many meals by adding a fresh, roasted vegetable element with subtle cheesy notes.

Description

Garlic and Parmesan Roasted Asparagus brings together fresh asparagus spears coated with olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, then oven-roasted at 425 degrees until fork tender. Roasting at this temperature allows the asparagus to soften while gaining slight caramelization and crisped edges. The garlic infuses the vegetables with aromatic flavor, complemented by the sharpness and richness from the Parmesan. Seasoned with salt and pepper, the dish achieves balanced seasoning enhancing the natural sweetness of the asparagus without overpowering it.

The combination creates a side dish suitable for pairing with grilled meats, pasta, or as a light vegetarian option. Its straightforward method requires little prep and delivers a vegetable cooked to tender perfection with a flavorful crust from the cheese and garlic.
