Gingerbread Protein Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk 10 fl oz, unsweetened vanilla
  • 1 1/2 fl oz espresso fresh brewed
  • 1/2 coop whey protein powder 16 grams, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard French Vanilla Creme flavor
  • 1 fl oz gingerbread syrup (recipe follows)

Instructions

  1. Whisk almond milk with whey protein (or shake in a shaker) until smooth. Add to a small pan on the stove and turn heat on to medium. Add gingerbread syrup.
  2. Continue to heat until warmed to desired temperature. If any protein powder remains visible in the mixture, strain before serving.
  3. Pour fresh brewed espresso in mug, then top with milk mixture.
  4. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon before serving, if desired.
