Greek Style Mac and (Feta) Cheese

Greek Style Mac and (Feta) Cheese combines pasta with a creamy mix of feta, Greek yogurt, and cream cheese, infused with sautéed onions, peppers, herbs, and olives. Baked to meld the flavors, this dish offers a rich, tangy, and herbaceous profile with a satisfying creamy texture enhanced by a lightly baked topping.

Description

This Greek Style Mac and (Feta) Cheese features cooked pasta blended with a creamy cheese sauce of feta, Greek yogurt, and cream cheese. The addition of sautéed onions, peppers, herbs like parsley, oregano, and mint, plus olives introduces fresh, savory, and slightly briny notes. The mixture is combined, placed in a casserole dish, and baked at 350°F to meld flavors and create a warmed, softly browned dish.

The dish balances the tanginess of feta and yogurt with the rich, smooth cream cheese, while the herbs enhance its Mediterranean character. The sautéing of vegetables adds sweetness and texture contrast, complementing the creamy pasta.

Served fresh from the oven, it can be a comforting main or side dish in a Mediterranean-inspired meal. Optional sprinkling of Parmesan adds a touch of sharpness to the finished baked top.
