Green Beans Caesar

Green Beans Caesar offers fresh green beans coated with a tangy mixture of olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, and oregano, topped with a crunchy layer of buttered breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese baked until golden. This dish combines crisp-tender beans with savory, crisp topping, making a flavorful side with a lively twist on a classic Caesar salad flavor profile.

Description

The recipe begins by boiling fresh green beans until just tender, then draining them thoroughly. The beans are tossed in a dressing made from olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano, which imparts a bright, slightly acidic flavor that contrasts with the beans’ natural sweetness.

A mixture of melted butter and breadcrumbs is combined with grated Parmesan cheese and sprinkled evenly over the dressed beans. Baking the dish allows the topping to crisp and brown, adding texture and a richer, savory flavor from the butter and cheese.

This preparation makes a versatile side dish that complements grilled meats, roasted poultry, or pasta. The combination of tangy dressing and crunchy topping elevates the green beans beyond a simple vegetable side, offering a balance of freshness and indulgence.
