Description

Green Beans with Almonds and Caramelized Onions combines fresh green beans with sweet, deeply browned onions and a hint of garlic, cooked in butter and olive oil. The green beans are blanched briefly to maintain a tender crispness and then sautéed to meld with the rich, buttery onion mixture. Topping the dish with lemon zest adds brightness, while chopped almonds provide a contrasting crunchy texture and nutty flavor. The cooking method highlights the natural sweetness of the onions and the freshness of the beans, making them more complex yet balanced.

Typically served as a vegetable side dish, this recipe works well alongside roasted meats or poultry, adding both color and varied textures to the plate. The use of fresh ingredients keeps the flavors straightforward yet satisfying.
