Grilled Peaches with Walnuts
Description
This recipe uses freestone peaches, which allow the pits to be easily removed, and prefers slightly firm fruit to prevent burning while grilling. Peach halves are grilled flesh side down first for a few minutes, then turned skin side down while drizzled with maple syrup to caramelize the sugars. The grilling process softens the peaches while adding a subtle smoky note.
Chopped walnuts add a crunchy contrast to the tender, sweet fruit. Serving with ice cream adds creaminess and coolness that complements the warmth and sweetness of the grilled peaches.
The recipe also offers air fryer instructions for a convenient alternative. Adjust grilling or air frying times depending on peach size and firmness, aiming for softness without charring. Choosing freestone peaches and careful handling ensures the pits come out cleanly and the fruit maintains texture.

Notes
- Select freestone peaches for easy pit removal, using a melon baller if needed.
- Use slightly firm peaches to reduce burning risk during grilling or air frying.
- Grill peach halves rather than slices to prevent slipping through grill grates.
- Adjust cooking times based on peach size and ripeness to achieve optimal softness.
- Omitting ice cream lowers the dish to just 1 Blue Plan SmartPoint per serving.
