Ingredients

  • cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder Hershey's brand
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cups milk whole
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • butter 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Stir together the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Add the vanilla to the milk then slowly add the milk to the chocolate mixture while continually whisking.
  3. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until mixture starts to boil; boil and stir for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from the heat, stir in butter.
  5. Pour into individual dessert dishes.
  6. To avoid skin from forming on top, press saran wrap directly onto the surface; serve warm or refrigerator for 2 hours prior to serving cold.
  7. Serve plain or with whipped cream. Enjoy.
