Homemade Dog Food
Description
The recipe begins by cooking brown rice separately according to package directions. Ground turkey is then cooked in a skillet and combined with the cooked rice, chopped spinach, shredded carrots, zucchini, and green beans. Adding low sodium chicken broth and a pinch of salt helps bind the ingredients and adds moisture.
The assembled mixture is cooked further to wilt the spinach and soften the vegetables, creating a uniform texture suitable for canine consumption. The result is a nutrient-rich, home-prepared dog meal designed for easy digestion and balanced nutrition.
Proper cooling before serving supports food safety, and storing the food in an airtight container in the refrigerator preserves freshness for up to four days. Transitioning your pet gradually to this new food is advised to avoid digestive upset.
