Homemade Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- pinch cinnamon
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar or fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Into a small saucepan, whisk chicken broth together with cornstarch, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar.
- Bring to boil to thicken sauce, then remove from heat and stir in butter until its completely melted and sauce is smooth. Use as desired.
