Irish Cream Latte Recipe
Description
This recipe uses two shots of espresso as its base, but strong brewed coffee can be an alternative. The Irish cream liqueur is blended with whole milk, warmed gently and frothed to create a light, airy layer that mixes evenly with the espresso underneath.
The result is a smooth latte featuring the familiar espresso flavor enhanced by the creamy, sweet notes from the Irish cream and milk blend. The froth adds a pleasant mouthfeel, making each sip rich and comforting.
This drink is best served immediately while warm and fresh. Adjust the milk quantity or frothing method depending on equipment available and taste preferences.
Ingredients
- 2 hots espresso see notes
- 2 ounces Irish cream
- 2 ounces milk whole
Instructions
- Brew 2 shots of espresso (or use 2 ounces of strong brewed coffee) into a coffee mug.
- Use a steam wand or milk frother to make the Irish cream and milk nice and frothy. You can also warm them on the stove (don't boil!) and then whisk them well.
- Pour the frothy Irish cream and milk into the coffee and enjoy!
