Jabba the Puff - Homemade Cream Puff

What better way to celebrate Star Wars than with a JABBA THE PUFF homemade cream puff?!?! We can't get enough of them!

Ingredients

Servings

Puffs

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup water
  • green food coloring
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 egg

Filling

  • 6 oz vanilla pudding mix 2-3.4 oz each, instant, small boxes
  • 1 ⅓ cup milk whole, cold
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • cookie icing yellow and black

Instructions

Puffs

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Melt stick of butter and water to a rolling boil
  3. add in green food coloring (you may need to use a lot to get the green color you want) I used 16 drops of gel
  4. Stir in flour and stir vigorously over low heat until mixture leaves the pan (comes off the sides) and is in a ball (about 1 minute)
  5. Remove from heat and cool for a couple of minutes
  6. Beat in eggs (one at a time) with a mixer
  7. Beat mixture until smooth and velveety
  8. apply cooking spray on hands
  9. spoon walnut sized amount of dough into your hands
  10. form dough into a slug shape with the tail swinging around
  11. place onto ungreased cookie sheet
  12. Bake 18-20 minutes, til no longer wet
  13. Allow to cool

Filling

  1. Mix instant vanilla pudding with whole milk until the pudding is dissolved
  2. Add sour cream until thick
  3. Put mixture in the refrigerator (at least an hour)
  4. put a frosting tip into a pastry bag and then fill with filling
  5. push the tip into the underside of the puffs and gently fill with cream
  6. use yellow and black cookie icing to make eyes
  7. Enjoy
