Lemon Couscous Recipe

This Lemon Couscous combines fluffy couscous cooked with water and olive oil, then brightened with fresh garlic, lemon zest, juice, parsley, and pine nuts. The result is a light, citrus-flavored side that offers a tender texture with a mild crunch from the nuts and herbs.

Description

The Lemon Couscous Recipe starts with boiling water seasoned with olive oil and sea salt, then stirring in the couscous and letting it steam covered off the heat to absorb liquid. The couscous is then fluffed with a fork to separate grains and combined with remaining olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, fresh parsley, and toasted pine nuts. The freshness of lemon and herbs balances the mild, nutty flavor of the couscous, while pine nuts introduce texture contrast.

This preparation creates a versatile side dish that pairs well with grilled meats, fish, or roasted vegetables. It can also be served warm or at room temperature, making it suitable for various meals and occasions.
