  • 1/3 cup water not boiling, 80 milliliters, hot
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped Cream for garnish, or marshmallows
  • matcha for sprinkling, optionally mixed with a little vanilla or powdered sugar for sweetness, additional

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, place milk over medium-low heat. Once steaming but not yet at a boil, remove from heat and add the white chocolate. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Sift the matcha into a small bowl, pour in the hot water. Whisk until smooth and completely dissolved with no lumps. Whisk into the white hot chocolate, followed by the vanilla extract.
  3. Serve immediately with whipped cream or marshmallows. If desired, sprinkle with a little more matcha.
