Mini Apple Pies

Mini Apple Pies are an individual twist on everyone’s favorite classic apple pie. Filled with caramel apple filling and topped with crumbs, these mini pies are simple to make but deliver big flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 inch pie crusts refrigerated
  • 5 apple peeled, cored and coarsely chopped, large, baking variety
  • cup corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons corn starch Argo® brand
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt

For the crumb topping:

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 5 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut 4 6-inch rounds out of the pie crusts, and fit them into 4 5-inch mini pie dishes. Use a fork to crimp the edges, or use two hands to flute the edges of the pie crusts.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together the Karo® Syrup, butter, sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and salt. Pour over apples and stir to coat.
  4. Evenly divide the apples between the prepared pie crusts.
  5. Prepare the crumb topping by mixing the flour, brown sugar, salt and butter with a fork until crumbs form. Top each pie with crumb topping.
  6. Place mini apple pies on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  7. Bake pies in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until crusts are browned and apples are tender.
