Mini Donut Muffins Recipe

Report
Mini Donut Muffins are small baked treats made from a simple batter of sugar, margarine, milk, baking powder, and flour. Baked in mini muffin cups until lightly golden, they are then dipped in melted margarine and rolled in a cinnamon-sugar mixture to give a sweet, spiced coating reminiscent of classic donuts, but with a tender, cakey texture.

Description

This recipe combines common baking ingredients to make bite-sized muffins that mimic the flavor and sweetness of donuts. The batter includes sugar for sweetness, margarine for moisture and richness, milk for a tender crumb, baking powder for rise, and all-purpose flour as the base. The mixture is gently combined and baked in greased mini muffin tins at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until the muffins are lightly golden.

After baking, while still warm enough to handle, each mini muffin is dipped into melted margarine and then coated with a cinnamon-sugar blend. This adds a sweet, fragrant crust that contrasts with the soft interior. The bite-sized format makes them convenient for snacks, parties, or breakfast bites.

The preparation requires careful mixing to avoid overworking the batter, which ensures muffins stay tender. Allowing the muffins to cool slightly before dipping helps maintain their shape and prevents sogginess. These muffins can be served as a simple sweet treat without additional toppings.
