No-Churn Mermaid Ice Cream
Description
This No-Churn Mermaid Ice Cream recipe uses simple ingredients: heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, food coloring, and sprinkles. The heavy cream is whipped to stiff peaks, then gently folded together with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. The mixture is separated into separate bowls, each mixed with a different color of food dye to create vibrant shades reminiscent of mermaid themes.
The colored mixtures are layered in a frozen loaf pan in alternating scoops and then lightly swirled using a knife to produce a marbled, multicolored pattern. Sprinkles are added on top before covering the pan with plastic wrap. The dessert is frozen for several hours until firm enough to scoop.
This recipe allows for a fun, creative presentation through layering and color, while relying on the smooth texture achieved by the whipped cream base combined with the sweetness and density from the condensed milk. Without the need for an ice cream machine, it offers a simple way to make a luscious, visually striking ice cream at home.
