Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 3 tablespoons garlic minced, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon ginger fresh, minced
  • 3 cups broccoli medium sized florets
  • 3 cups green cabbage in 1-2” pieces, chopped leaves
  • 3 cups curly kale in 1-2” pieces (discard tough stems, chopped leaves
  • ¼ cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce I often add a little more
  • ½ tablespoon rice vinegar I often add a little more

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add butter and allow it to melt.
  2. Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Add broccoli, cabbage, kale, and vegetable broth. Fold to combine. Cover skillet with a lid and steam the vegetables for 2 minutes. Lift the lid and quickly fold the greens a couple times, then cover and steam for 2 more minutes - or until crisp-tender and bright green. The vegetables will shrink down considerably in size.
  4. Add soy sauce and rice vinegar. Stir to combine, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and serve immediately.
