Parma Ham and Caprese Pasta Salad Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) pasta shell pasta or other preferred shape
  • 1 lb (450) cherry (grape) tomatoes halved
  • 1 lb (450g) mozzarella pearls
  • 3 tablespoon pesto optional
  • 4 tbsp fresh basil leaves shredded
  • 10 lices Parma Ham roughly torn
  • balsamic vinegar to drizzle

Instructions

Parma Ham and Caprese Pasta Salad Instructions

  1. Mix the mozzarella pearls with pesto (if using) and set aside to marinate.
  2. Cook pasta until it is al dente following the package instructions, then drain and allow it to cool.
  3. Next, combine the pasta, basil and Parma ham with the mozzarella pesto mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. Drizzle the salad with balsamic vinegar, to taste.
  5. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until needed.

Notes

  • Chef’s Tip: For the very best flavour, make sure to serve Parma Ham at room temperature.

  • To prevent the cooked pasta from sticking, drizzle with a little bit of olive oil after draining.
